Bad Kleinkirchheim
Egarterhof
St. Oswald is home to the Egarter Hof farm and granary.
In former times granaries were used to store corn, bread, bacon and smoked meat. Granaries (and bath houses) were usually erected off the (farm)house, in order to save some of the food in case of fire. Most of these elaborately designed granaries date from the 17th and 18th centuries. The Egarter Hof estate accommodates St. Oswald's only bath house, which is no longer in use, though. Egarter Hof and Hofer Hof on the opposite hill are impressive examples of early rural architecture in the Nockalm region.
